Maré Cheia’s vision today is the same as it was almost 30 years ago, when it was founded. We want to continue to be the restaurant of choice in Montijo for locals and visitors alike.

To be the main destination and the number one choice for all lovers of traditional cuisine, freshly grilled fish and seafood.

And if possible continue to grow in a sustainable way for many more good years.

Wow, a delight, the seafood cataplana is great, the place is beautiful near the port of Montijo. Quiet, family atmosphere. Grilled seafood, fish and meat. The Brazilian woman who served us was lovely…we’ll be back.

On a trip to Montijo for the Flower Festival, we walked into Maré Cheia by chance, because the first impression was positive, so we stayed and were served with quality and friendliness. It’s one to repeat. Very fresh fish and an excellent salad buffet. Very, very pleasant. I recommend it.

Very well located restaurant on the riverfront with easy parking. Two large rooms and a family atmosphere. High quality food (always fresh fish and seafood) and very well prepared! Excellent wine list. Homemade desserts are always delicious! Thank you all! I recommend it!
