Montijo Municipal Park
An urban park located in the center of Montijo, created by the municipality in 1929, the Municipal Park pays homage to Carlos Hidalgo Gomes de Loureiro. Renovated in 1959, it is currently one of the oldest and most emblematic gardens in the city, providing a peaceful and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
St. Peter’s Popular Festivities
The great St. Peter’s Popular Festivities. A mixture of animation, color, music, dance and a lot of joy mark the various moments of great importance in the lives of the citizens and the thousands of visitors who, for several years now, have come to get to know our culture and tradition, taking part and becoming an integral part of our festivities. The Praça de Toiros Amadeu Augusto dos Santos is an emblematic place in the city. Inaugurated on September 1, 1957, it is a symbol of bullfighting tradition. It currently hosts all kinds of shows, not just bullfighting.
